LESLIE CHO, M.D., FACC, is director of
the Women’s Cardiovascular Center and
section head of Preventive Cardiology
and Rehabilitation at the Cleveland Clinic
Foundation.
JEREM Y CLORFENE, PH.D., is a clinical psychologist. He is head psychologist for cardiac rehabilitation and weight loss centers in the Chicago area. He coauthored The No Bull Book on Heart Disease (Sterling, 2009) and also cohosts a weekly call-in radio show on health.

KEITH COPELIN FERDINAND, M.D.,
FACC, FAHA, is a cardiologist and
chief science officer for the Association
of Black Cardiologists. He serves as a
clinical professor in cardiology at Emory
University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

SHARONNE N. HAYES, M.D., FACC, is
associate professor of medicine and
cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester,
Minnesota, where she developed and
directs the Women’s Heart Clinic.
MELINA JAMPOLIS, M.D., is one of a few
hundred physician nutrition specialists in the
United States. She specializes in nutrition
for weight loss, disease prevention, and
treatment. The author of The No-Time-To-Lose Diet ( Thomas Nelson, 2007), she
maintains a private practice in San Francisco.
CLYDE YANCY, M.D., FACC, FAHA, MACP, is a cardiologist and medical director of the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute in Dallas. He is currently president of the American Heart Association, and he studies hypertension, heart failure, and heart transplantation.
DIANE MCKAY, PH.D., FACN, is an assistant
professor at Tufts University’s Friedman
School of Nutrition Science and Policy and
a scientist in the antioxidants research
laboratory at the Jean Mayer USDA Human
Nutrition Research Center on Aging, also at
Tufts University.
RUTH ANN CARPEN TER, M. S., R.D., is a healthy-eating and active-living consultant. She has coauthored six books, including Active Living Every Day (Human Kinetics, 2002), and has taught health-promotion programs around the world.

BARRY A. FRANKLIN, PH.D., directs the
cardiac rehab program and exercise
laboratories at William Beaumont Hospital
in Royal Oak, Michigan. He helped write the
national cardiac rehabilitation guidelines and
is coauthor of Take a Load Off Your Heart
(Workman Publishing, 2003).
